221. All Apples Can Do!

Week 221  10/8/19

We always love visiting Andy and Charlie. This time they had a plan for the weekend which they divulged when we arrived. We were all in with this - their first real apple harvest and cider-making production from their own orchard!

The next day, I went back to the orchard and picked another supply for applesauce.

Harvesting - some folks don't have as much need for a fruit-picking extension. :-)  I got myself snarled in a lot of prickly stuff and ended up with scratches all over my arms.

Transporting apples with Andy's golf cart from orchard to cider house for pressing and then bottles back to the house across the street.

Chopping. These two seem happy with their sharp implements.

Grinding chopped apples is the next step.

Pressing is hard work!
